What are the potential benefits of giving someone something they do not deserve? Is it more logical for individuals to only receive what they have earned or worked for ?

Actually, you can look at it as an opportunity. I know of a few real-life examples.

One of my friends came from a very rich family. He didn’t score well in his higher secondary exams, but because of his background, his father paid a large sum and got him a medical seat. He took it seriously, worked hard, and today he is a very popular doctor in a major city. He made the most of that opportunity.

Similarly, another friend of mine benefited from the reservation system in Tamil Nadu. Though his marks weren’t high, he got admission into a reputed university. He used that chance well, got placed in a big company through campus interviews, went abroad, and is now earning very well. His whole family’s status improved because he made use of the opportunity given to him.

So, opportunities come in many forms—through wealth, systems, or situations. But what truly matters is how you use them.

If you’re given an opportunity and you don’t use it properly, then definitely, you will face the negative consequences. Karma will take care of that.

Many people ask me, “Why are good people suffering while some bad ones seem to be doing well?” My answer is simple: it all relates to karma—both present and past. The law of karma is perfect. Even if someone hasn’t done anything wrong in this life, their suffering could be due to previous birth karmas.

That’s why I always say: keep doing your duties sincerely. Be good. Stay on the right path. Focus on the process, not just the results. If things happen, great. If they don’t, learn to accept it. Acceptance is the best solution to avoid frustration.

In the long run, if you are doing good, you will surely receive the rewards. And if you’re doing bad, you will face the effects sooner or later.
