As long as things are going well, people appear strong and confident. But when they start facing setbacks, they may resist and stay positive for a while. However, if the negative phase continues, even the strongest individuals begin to experience fear.

Even great cricketers like Virat Kohli have faced this. From day one, he played exceptionally well. He was strong, confident, and we never imagined he would go out of form. But once a series of low scores caught up with him, he too began to face the fear of being “out of form.”

These kinds of fears can be controlled by not feeding fear-based thoughts. If you can mute those thoughts, the practice and knowledge stored in the subconscious mind will naturally take over and perform.

It also depends on a person’s karma and state of mind. Some people enjoy a smooth life for a long time, but if they carry a heavy karmic account, they will eventually have to face difficulties.

Take someone like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He had a tough childhood but chose to accept his situation and work hard. Eventually, he rose and shone. His later life was a testimony to that. So, no one is completely exempt from facing negatives in this human life. Everyone must face them at some point. The key is to recognize, accept, and change. If you maintain that mindset, life can become truly fulfilling.

The best thing is to keep putting in your efforts, no matter what. When difficulties come, make the effort to overcome them. If things still don’t work out, accept it gracefully. Surrender your success and failures to God. Stay silent in both success and failure—and then, fear will have no space in your life.
